with a musical performance by Masauko Chimpembere, singer songwriter from Malawi in Southern Africa. He was born in Los Angeles while his parents were in exile. His music is an attempt to bridge his African past with his American present. Masauko has opened for Stevie Wonder and Gil Scott-Heron and continues in the tradition classic songwriters who use their platform to inform and heal their audiences.
